What type of Colon Therapy device do you use?

Lifetime Health & Consulting, LLC uses a closed system device to administer Guided Colonic Therapy sessions.   This system ensures safety and enables a therapist to assist the client during a session.

What is Guided Colonic Therapy?

It is a colonic session (read below), on a closed-system device, to include energy work, spiritual guidance and intuitive directives through the nervous system. Common feedback includes, but is not limited to, good internal feelings, mental clarity, assured direction and courage to pursue desired expansion.

What is Holistic Health?

Holistic health is an approach to healing by treating the whole body versus one particular part.   The treatment is designed to compliment the entire body unit and to achieve an ultimate healing.

What is Colon Hydrotherapy (Colonic Irrigation)?

Colon Hydrotherapy is an internal bath which removes waste from the body by introducing warm, filtered water into the colon without the use of drugs or chemicals.  The filtered water will soften and loosen fecal material, resulting in waste evacuation through the natural peristalsis of the colon.

What are the benefits to having a colonic?

Colon Hydrotherapy is a gentle washing of the colon.  The experience of a colonic will have three positive effects:

1. The warm, filtered water will hydrate the colon resulting in an improved transit time of the hard fecal material which is stagnant in the colon.

2. This hydration will help the colon muscles activate resulting in the stimulation of peristalsis in the colon.

3. The combination of hydration and stimulation of peristalsis improves the evacuation of fecal material stuck in the colon.

Is a Colonic sanitary?

Yes.  The colonic is performed with a Clearwater, FDA-registered, PPC-101 The Traveler (U. S. Patent No. 5,871,463). The instrument is designed for use in a variety of situations to include hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, and more.  It employs a disposable, single-use, two-tube method,  an accurate, adjustable temperature control & shut down valve, as well as a water pressure regulator/pressure relief system.  Furthermore, the unit is sterilized after each session with an EPA approved Cavicide solution.   Lastly, The Traveler connections are in compliance with the Boston Water and Sewage Commission standards and the instrument is a closed system that avoids offensive odors and leakage.

What is a Colon Hydrotherapy session like?

A Colonic session is like a warm and relaxing internal whirlpool bath.  It is a comfortable experience for most people.  During the session most clothing is kept on.  You will only disrobe from the waist down and a gown is worn to ensure modesty.  After reclining on a padded table, you will experience the gentle self-insertion of a speculum into the rectum.  A small amount of temperature and pressure-regulated, filtered water enters the colon via the inflow tube while the instrument gauge monitors the pressure inside the colon.  The water softens and loosens fecal material which stimulates the colons natural peristaltic action to release the softened waste.  Upon release, fecal matter is expelled through the observation tube via the outflow tube.  The process is repeated several times within a 45-50 minute session.

How many sessions do I need?

The number of Colon Hydrotherapy sessions desired is determined by the client.  This number is influenced by the individuals personal goals.  For example, think of a colonic as an exercise regimen.  Your goal may include weight loss and muscle training prompting you to exercise 1 time per week until desired results are achieved.  Another persons goal may only include maintenance prompting exercise only 1 time per month on an ongoing basis.  Colon Hydrotherapy can compliment any regimen or program.

Why should I take interest in this procedure?  I am working just fine.

Your body is your house and the colon represents your trash can.  If the trash bag becomes full but you never empty the trash, will your house stink?  If the trash bag becomes full and you only empty part of it, would your house stink?  Or, what if you dispose of the trash bag but never provide periodic maintenance to the trash can, will you have build up around the circumference of the trash can?  Partial disposal or lack of periodic maintenance to the colon could yield gas, constipation, diarrhea, body odor, and/or bad breath are just a few of the problems you could encounter.  Colon Hydrotherapy could serve as your housekeeper.

Is a Colonic the same as a Colonoscopy?

No.  A colonoscopy is a visual examination of the colon through a colonoscope.  An intravenous (IV) line is inserted to give you medication for relaxation during the colonoscopy procedure.   However, it is helpful to receive a colonic before receiving a colonoscopy.

What is the difference between a colonic and an enema?
There are several differences between the two:

  • Can ultimately cleanse the entire legnth of the colon
  • Cleanses the lower part of the colon (sigmoid) and a portion of the descending colon
  • Provide multiple infusions of water into the colon
  • Provides a gravity-flow of one or two water infusions into the colon
  • Fecal material leaves the body through a tube while client continues to relax
  • Client must sit on toilet to release fecal material
  • Can see the fecal material through a view tube as it is passing
  • Cannot view the passing fecal material
  • Fecal material passes through a tube thus eliminating the odor
  • Can smell all passing fecal material
